Sorry for the crummy quality and strange “tilt.” These are captures from my helmet cam, which isn’t hi-res. But you can clearly see just some sections of the long line of holes the FA team drilled for bashies. And, for those of you that don’t even know what a “rivet” is, I’ve included a couple of pics of a rivet ladder and a close-up of a rivet. It’s basically a short (1-inch) x 1/4 inch in diameter shaft of zinc alloy with an expansion nail. You drill a shallow hole, slide the rivet in, slip a small cable loop around the head, and pound in the nail to expand the zinc shaft to snugly fit the hole. They are NOT bombproof! In best conditions (which these are not), these rivets are good for about 800 pounds.
